Keith Richards Is ‘Under the Influence’ of Muddy Waters, Hank Williams, and His Own Ego

By

Keith Richards has been interviewed too many times. Watching Keith Richards: Under the Influence, a new documentary about the Rolling Stones guitarist out today exclusively on Netflix, one gets the sense that when he tells tales of his life in music, he’s told these stories hundreds of times. By now, it’s almost as if he gets as much pleasure from retelling those moments as he did living them.

Patti LuPone “Hijacked” Audience Member’s Cell Phone, Jon Snow Hijacked Hearts: Links You Need to See

By

Many were paralyzed by the stabbing of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones‘ Season 5 finale. The shock was followed by a stage of mourning — for some, a very extravagant stage. But now people are finally starting to accept that he’s really gone and added to the dehumanizing tally of characters Game of Thrones has killed off. In order to celebrate the lovely incongruity of one’s badass terror of a grandpa writing a book for a youth, we scoured Life for a sampling of its wisdom-for-all-ages:

Pictures of Keith Richards Doing Normal Stuff

By

Keith Richards always seemed like the down-to-earth, somewhat approachable one in the Rolling Stones, the one who you could probably hang out with and get along just fine, even if he is megarich and has been famous for pretty much half a century. Today is Keef’s 70th birthday, and apart from the unfeasibility of him reaching that mark given his, um, adventurous lifestyle over the years, it seems like a fine time to break out what’s become something of a Flavorwire tradition: some photos of our hero doing normal things! He’s just like you and me. Sort of. Happy birthday!

20 Hilarious (And Often Adorable) Photos of Debauched Rock Stars With Cute Kids

By

Many awesome Stooges-related things have come out of the last week or so, not least the band’s new album (which is actually quite good) and their killer performance at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge. But perhaps most awesome of all is the photo that’s been making the rounds of Iggy clutching two kids in junior versions of his trademark sequined jeans. They look terrified, he looks delighted, and the whole thing is many kinds of awesome. So, in a similar spirit, here’s a selection of other debauched rock stars with cute kids. You’re …Read More
