Yesterday, The Awl pointed out a list on Kikolani.com of the top 125 Fearless Female Bloggers. It’s a long list, but we felt that it might not be quite long enough — some of our favorite music bloggers, feminist muckrakers, and snarky opinionistas didn’t make the cut. Sisters aren’t just doin’ it for themselves, you know. So, of course, we decided to make a list of our own. Below the jump are our picks for 10 fearless female bloggers.
The world of Twitter can be hard to navigate. We know that you’re already following us @flavorpill, but we decided it would be fun (and possibly helpful) if we rounded up some of our other Twitter favorites in a series we’re calling “The Followables.” The first set of Twitter all-stars in the spotlight are the music critics we love. My music-heavy Twitter feed sang a mournfulgoodbyeto a dearfriend last night as Maura Johnston logged her last post at Idolator. “Just wanted to let you know that today is my last day as editor of Idolator,” she wrote. “The site will continue on, and I will continue to write about music, but we’ve decided to part ways.” The URL may remain, but it will never be the same mighty blog it was with Maura at the helm.
