Trees are much better than people at growing at extreme angles. That said, people can get pretty extreme too, as evidenced by Lean With It, a charming photo series from Chicago-based cool kid photographer Paul Octavious that we first spotted over at Colossal. We love the quiet absurdity of these photographs — Octavious finds trees growing naturally at weird angles, and photographs people mimicking their shape, sometimes leaning so far over that we can’t help but imagine the epic face-plant that must have come a split second after the photo was taken.
