What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds In Our Office

+

Today at Flavorpill, we watched a hilarious clip of Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, Michael Stipe, and Martin Short playing “Password” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. We were shocked to learn that Marc Jacobs’ entire spring 2012 collection was stolen from a train leaving Paris for London. We were not-so-subtly reminded why spoilers are bad thanks to these propaganda posters. We wished that more authors would make like Ann Patchett and open up their own bookstores. We were amazed by how this stylish apartment looks, even though it’s furnished completely in cardboard. We found this “walkable roller coaster” in Germany kind of baffling. We found it pretty amusing that our friends over at BuzzFeed organized a protest against People Magazine’s selection of Bradley Cooper as the 2011 Sexiest Man of the Year (and we completely agree with them that Ryan Gosling would have been a better choice). We were super excited to hear that Kristen Schaal is going to be in a few episodes of 30 Rock this season. And finally, after years of waiting, we got to see what Beyoncé’s wedding dress looked like. Thanks to a super-sized train, it did not disappoint.

What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we enjoyed BuzzFeed’s thoughtful analysis of 26 years of People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive.” We loved this new anti-bullying PSA by the talented filmmakers over at Everynone. We were impressed by Jason Segel’s hair in the new promos for this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. We looked at pictures of the seven wonders of nature. We were kind of jealous of this Doctor Who fan’s refrigerator/TARDIS. We couldn’t believe that PETA would waste its time getting upset about a raccoon suit that Mario wears in Super Mario 3D Land. We were frightened by the implications of The PROTECT IP Act, which will give the government new powers to block Americans’ access websites that corporations don’t like. And finally, we showed our support for Community by goateeing ourselves. Hopefully NBC decides to bring it back next year!

Johnny Depp Isn’t Always the Sexiest Man Alive

3

Earlier today People Magazine named Johnny Depp 2009′s “Sexiest Man Alive.” He already won the title back in 2003, placing him in the company of other choice double-winners: Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Richard Gere. Yeah, we’re confused by that last one, too. While we enjoy Johnny Depp as much as the next blog, we thought this might be a fun excuse to look at some of his least sexy roles. Join us, will you?
