This fellow, who very much enjoys Julia Roberts, has 82 tattoos of her face on his body. His name is Milijenko Parserisas Bukovic and he is a 56-year-old Mexican newspaper vendor. Apparently, he has spent over $82,000 on the tattoos, which are inspired by scenes from Erin Brockovich, the movie that kickstarted his um, enthusiasm for Ms. Roberts. He plans to continue getting more Julia Roberts tattoos until he runs out of money and/or blank patches of skin. Click through to see Bukovic’s awesomely disturbing smorgasbord of Julia Roberts faces. … Read More

Pic of the Day: Dietrich Wegner’s Tattooed Babies
You could argue that from the moment that we’re born, we’re exposed to corporate branding. In fact, it is estimated that kids see 40,000 ads per year on TV alone. Australia-born, Pennsylvania-based artist Dietrich Wegner has flipped that idea on its head by covering real babies in multicolored fake tattoos that feature logos from companies like Apple and Fed Ex, essentially turning them into tiny (and totally oblivious), crawling billboards. Click through to see more photos from the series, along with a few of Wegner’s sculptures, and let us know what you think of the concept in the comments. … Read More

13 Wonderful Song Lyric Tattoos
It is often a bad idea to get song lyrics tattooed on your body. Really, who wants to be a 40-something mother of three with, say, a Dashboard Confessional tramp stamp that dates back to high school? As music fans, we knew there had to be at least a few decent song lyric tattoos out there. After the jump, 13 that we can get behind.
Oh, and people? Lay off of “Love will tear us apart” and “There is a light that will never go out” for a while, OK? … Read More

The Coney Island Tattoo and Motorcycle Festival
The first thing that you notice at the Tattoo and Motorcycle Festival is the sound. The rumble of revving engines comes at you from every angle, starting and stopping like a mechanical chorus. Then there’s the whine of tattoo guns, punctuating the overall ruckus, underscored by the blasting of Nicki Minaj songs. And that’s even before you get to the actual event: a sort of Hells Angels pageant, celebrating gleaming choppers of every make, embellishment, and size. Not to mention the freelance tattoo artists, and the heavily pierced and generally freaky, who were out in full force. There were spiked leather seats and inked portraits of Lady Gaga! There was a little person who mooned us! All this, and more, after the jump. … Read More
