Candyland: Pip & Pop’s Dreamy, Dyed-Sugar Kingdoms

Between Willy Wonka, Fantasia, and the Candyland board game, who hasn’t let their mind occasionally wander to a place colored with a Lisa Frank palette; where jewels are as common as sand, flowers blossom in every season, and all animals — predators and prey alike — coexist peacefully? Australian artists Nicole Andrijevic and Tanya Schultz take this daydreaming to a whole new level under the collaborative name Pip & Pop. Using everyday objects such as sugar, pigment, wire, clay, beads, and so forth, the duo creates mini Candylands on gallery floors.
