This Week in Trailers: Sleepwalking Comics and the Powerful Oz

Every Friday here at Flavorwire, we like to gather up the week’s new movie trailers, give them a look-see, and rank them from worst to best — while taking a guess or two about what they might tell us (or hide from us) about the movies they’re promoting. This week’s five new trailers feature Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, David Duchovny, Vera Farmiga, James Franco, Rachel Weisz, Melanie Lynskey, and Mike Birbiglia; check ‘em all out after the jump, and share your thoughts in the comments. … Read More

The Fug Report: Highs and Lows from the Week in Fashion

[Editor's note: Welcome to our new weekly feature The Fug Report! Each week our fashion blogger friends Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan, the sartorial geniuses behind Go Fug Yourself, will feature some of their favorite looks of the week in this space. There will be some good outfits; there will be some bad outfits; there will be some fugly outfits -- actually, we've got our fingers-crossed that there will be lots and lots of latter. We hope you enjoy it!]

This week on Go Fug Yourself, we celebrated the publication of our first young adult novel, Spoiled. When we weren’t patting ourselves on the back, we were saying goodbye to American Idol, and by “American Idol,” we mean, “J. As Vulture reports, the film has won glowing reviews at Telluride — the same festival that launched Slumdog Millionaire‘s slow but steady ascent to the Oscars — and might be the timeliest, most zeitgeist-capturing movie released this awards season.” Reitman’s previous film, Juno, was nominated for four Academy Awards, and the last feature that he both adapted and directed, Thank You for Smoking, won him an Independent Spirit Award. We’ve never seen a conversation about frequent flier miles look as sexually charged as this exchange between George Clooney and Vera Farmiga. What do you think? Does this one have potential? … Read More
