Today at Flavorpill we were mesmerized by MRI scans of food. We were dying to visit what the LA Times is calling “the strangest roomful of art in LA right now” at the Getty. We remembered just how much we used to love Lisa Frank and her rainbow-colored unicorns — but obviously not as much as some people. We couldn’t believe that these were paintings and not photographs. We wondered if it will be any easier to hail one of the Taxis of Tomorrow during rush hour. We were impressed by this dress by Yuliya Kypro that’s made out of 1,000 newspaper cranes. We witnessed the slow birth of London’s 2012 Olympic stadium. We were grossed out by giant Japanese salamander sex. We decided we like The View a lot more when Whoopi’s drugged up on sedatives. We were surprised by how well Dora the Explorer fits into the world of Inception. And finally, we learned how to make our own glow sticks. You know, for the next time you’re invited to a rave.
