Today at Flavorpill, we learned how hipsters, Andy Warhol, and Lady Gaga tricked Vogue into liking gray hair. We decided that the dream buildings of Inception should be eligible for an Oscar nod. We were terrified by this photo of a young Sarah Palin. We couldn’t believe that New York failed to crack the top 10 in a roundup of the gayest cities in America. We discovered that a lot of guys are virtual snoops — at least when it comes to Facebook messages. We watched Matthew Weiner skillfully avoid answering Diane Sawyer’s season four-related questions about Mad Men. We thought it was cool that a Subway restaurant in Japan is growing its own hydroponic lettuce. (But will it make its own tessellated cheese?) We wondered who the target audience is for TLC’s new reality show about taxidermy. We kind of liked Lindsay Lohan’s eye makeup in her mugshot. And finally, we realized that Brian Wilson has absolutely no idea who Katy Perry is. And that’s the way we like it…
