Strange But True: Tattooed LEGOS

65

[Editor's note: For the next two Fridays, Flavorwire will be counting down our 20 most popular features of 2010. This post, which originally ran on July 22, 2010, comes in at position number 17.] The mad men behind Pilot Extra-Fine ball-pens (aka Barcelona’s Grey agency) have created a great viral marketing featuring LEGOS with drawn on “badass” tattoos. Straight out of your mother’s nightmares, these LEGOS have dedications to Harley Davidson, lots of angry skulls, and in one instance, a rather racy tramp stamp. Click through to view our favorite tatted up bad boys.

There is no plural of LEGO; there is only one company.

the plural for Lego is Lego brick’s

Sorry ljmorris8 but you need some grammar instruction. The ‘s on a word denotes ownership or a contraction, such as it’s would be it is, not plural. Lego bricks would be accurate to indicate more than one brick.

I agree there is only one LEGO company with a corporate identity of LEGO Group based in Denmark. LEGO is a registered trademark.
Since most folks have more than one LEGO brick I would say they have LEGO bricks. My last post on the matter!

[...] As interesting as this is, I wonder how accepted this practice would be in today’s westernized world.  I’m sure Conehead fanatics would be ecstatic about this.  There are still Conehead fans out there right? While we’re on the subject of fanatics, I happen to know a couple of people who are very dedicated to their LEGO collections.  I’m sure they’ll get a kick out of this next story. [...]

I’d buy them. They are pretty sweet :)

Is it my imagination or are they mostly the bad guys/people. (bikers, prisoners and tramps)that are the tattooed ones? Its pretty sad when the Pilot Pen pushers use the old stereotypes. Some of us are not criminal.
Harumph!

That is awesome. I love those intricate tattoos – and yes this does make me want to get one of those superfine pens :)
