What’s on at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we followed 28 of the best fictional characters on Twitter. We met the dark lord of heavy metal logos. We were excited by the news that Guillermo del Toro is directing a remake of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. We felt sorry for copy editors — writers can be such douche space bags. We wondered what non-cheese dairy products the average American is consuming 600 pounds of each year. We were happy not to be at Comic-Con. We loved the love of ribbed turtlenecks in The Situation’s awkward family photo. We discovered that scotch tape can be rather risque. We feared a zombie jellyfish that stung over 100 people swimming in New Hampshire. We were intrigued by both the pretty movie poster for Let Me In and the first images of Natalie Portman as a ballerina in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan. We were surprised to hear that A&E’s reality show Intervention actually helps people. And finally, we watched the Beatles take on the rest of the world in this epic mashup featuring some of our all-time favorite dance sequences in film.
