And now for the news we’ve all been waiting for… Yes — according to a leaked document that has just popped up on the Max’s Kansas City blog — David Bowie will have a hand in Lady Gaga’s forthcoming sophomore album. The scrap of paper Max’s has posted seems to confirm that Bowie co-wrote and/or will appear on a track called “Vinyl” and also co-produced, played guitar, and contributed vocals to the record. In a word: Yes!

We’ve all been very good children, apparently.
That’s pretty sweet… think about it man… 1970 to 2010 is 40 years… so is 1930 to 1970. In a way Lady Gaga working with David Bowie now is like David Bowie working with someone who first got “big” around 1930 back in 1970. That wouldn’t have happened. Why? Because the 1960s changed everything. Everything since then (including David Bowie & Lady Gaga) is a reverberation of that change. Well, that’s my theory anyway.
No offense, she certainly has her own style but Lady GaGa’s music sucks ass. I can’t believe Bowie is doing this… Oh well, it’s a magnificent break for her. Despite not caring about her music (Alejandro for ten minutes with her video smacking alittle Madonna Vogue moment) I do think that she is creative and certainly give her credit for that.
But David Bowie? Why don’t you toss in Eddie Vedder as well, another great fit! ;)
Coquette, people probably thought the EXACT same of Bowie when he was first getting started. So watch it.
Coquette – how do Bowie and Vedder relate at all? Gaga is taking cues from glam style a la Bowie in 60s-70s, T.Rex, Suzi Quattro, other glamtastic performers. same with the sexuality that she places in her music and image – just like bowie, who revolutionized pop music with his androgynous appearance. gender-bending and hypersexualization are how bowie and Gaga relate; how would Gaga and Vedder relate? or are you just being a silly loser who doesn’t know their musical history….
Please Bowie ! Don’t do that ! You and gaga ? Horror !!!!! abominable nightmare !!!
Pretty good post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you post again soon. Thanks! But the way it is packaged, simply makes it one of the best home printer choices around.
Uh, Marvin? Sorry to kick your theory in the shin, but in 1977 David Bowie recorded a song, “The Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth” for a television Christmas special with Bing Crosby, who began his singing career in 1926.
