It was announced earlier today that Betty White has signed a two-book deal with G.P. Putnam’s Sons, which should come as no surprise given her current popularity. The first book, which is due out in 2011, will deal with “her incredibly varied, decades-long career in Hollywood.” The second, slated for the following year, will features stories and photographs of the animals at the Los Angeles Zoo, where Betty — a longtime animal rights advocate — is a board member.
