What’s on at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we discovered that Zaha Hadid and Diana Ross have something in common. We got mad at UPS for ripping off artist Ryan Johnson in a new ad campaign. We read a tiny excerpt of Jonathan Franzen’s new novel Freedom. We followed the evolution of a few well-known fast food logos. We got hungry just looking at these cakes inspired by books. We wanted to drink water out of a golden goblet just like Kanye West. We hoped to score one of Shepard Fairey’s “John & Yoko” limited-edition screenprints when they go on sale at an undisclosed time tomorrow. We were confused by this interview with Lady Gaga’s saucy male alter ego — “Jo Calderone.” We were fascinated by this look into the secret world of Trader Joe’s. We wondered if singing on a local news program is really the best way to win votes. And finally, we spent way too long in the Museum of Unintended Use. It’s like MacGyver, but for normal people.
