Today at Flavorpill, we watched some really strange PSAs. We just barely avoided a Google Talk phishing scam. We rocked out to Tinted Windows. Not. Sadly, it’s no “MMMBop”. We honored the life of Socks, the extremely old White House cat. We wished we could eat dinner with Anthony Bourdain and “the most controversial chef on the planet”. We were surprised to discover that Mad Men‘s costume designer hearts skinny jeans so much. We were glad that Michael Cera finally came to his senses and got on board the Arrested Development movie bandwagon. We questioned the Tao Lin/Carles from Hipster Runoff connection — sharing Big Macs does not make you the same person. And finally, we saluted Robert Smith for continuing to be so freaking angsty, even as an old. It’s nice to have some source of consistency in our lives.
