Kirsten Lepore, who is a grad student in the experimental film program at CalArts, uses stop motion animation to tell the story of the unlikely pen-pal relationship between a snowman and a sandman in this charming short. Be warned: the tearjerker of an ending will make you cry. On a side note, “Bottle” is a finalist in the animation category for the upcoming Vimeo Festival, so if you like Lepore’s work (which also includes this), support her by casting a vote.
