Today at Flavorpill, we bid on tea for three with Stephin Merritt of Magnetic Fields to benefit our friends at WFMU. We had one of our favorite childhood books ruined forever. We were freaked out by how much this newly discovered bat looks like Yoda. We watched French people kiss in a new movie about making out. We wished that more McDonald’s were totally flooded. We listened to some songs to get us in the mood for autumn. We were surprised to hear Ozzy Osbourne covering John Lennon. We learned 15 new things about Ikea, and that we’ve been spelling Hallowe’en incorrectly all of these years. We read some of Marilyn Monroe’s poetry. We were scared by this sexy (and expensive) Chewbaca costume. We wanted to buy a vintage exotic pet. And finally, we enjoyed this short documentary about the desks of creative people.
