Interesting news update: The as-yet-unidentified man who threw a book at Barack Obama at a political rally held yesterday in Philadelphia was not a detractor, but rather “an overexuberant fan,” and more importantly, an aspiring author who was hoping that the President (certainly the most well-read POTUS in recent memory) would be interested in checking out his work. After deciding that the man posed no danger, Secret Service agents released him, but there’s no word yet on what happened to the book. It’s also worth noting that a naked man at the same rally — who was attempting to claim Alki David’s $1 million prize for the first person to streak at an Obama event — was not so lucky.
