Milan’s Street Art Manhole Covers

Share:

Perhaps to compete with Japan’s tricked out sewers, the Italian city of Milan, in conjunction with their fiber optic company Metroweb, has commissioned 20 manhole covers from five street artists: Shepard Fairey, The London Police, Space Invader, Rendo, and the Flying Fortress. The series, dubbed Over the Under , is comprised of 20 covers (four from each of the artists) that will be in place for at least a year. Click through for a look at ten of our favorites.
