These enormous legs might look innocent enough to you, but they’re causing a major stir in Sag Harbor, where local residents are fighting to have them taken down. The sculpture by controversial artist Larry Rivers, which stands at over 16 feet and has been on display for the past two years, was originally designed back in 1969 as part of a larger work for a suburban shopping mall on Long Island. This smaller version was later purchased by a pair of art dealers. At least it’s not a leg lamp? [via WSJ]
