We’ve seen some great year-in-review pieces these past few weeks (and published some awesome ones here, if we do say so ourselves), but they’re going to have to stand aside for a moment while we praise Michael Musto’s. It pays tribute to, among other notables, Lady Gaga — or, as she is known by Musto, “our leader, who inspired us, fought oppression, changed minds, and switched outfits.” To celebrate her, the veteran Village Voice columnist appears on the paper’s cover decked out in a meat dress of his own.
