My Best Friend’s Birthday may sound like the cringe-worthy sequel to My Best Friend’s Wedding – but don’t worry, it isn’t. It’s Quentin Tarantino’s first feature, some of which was re-appropriated for his True Romance script. Now, fans can watch half of the 70-minute film (the rest was lost in a fire). Although it was made for only $5,000, it’s got all the Tarantino signatures: drugs, pop-culture references, and fast-talking, potty-mouthed characters (sample exchange: “You look like shit.” “I feel like diarrhea”).
