Will it be Skins for the 20-something set? A somber, narrative version of The Real World? A scripted, hipster Jersey Shore? The new pilot MTV just picked up could be any of those things, but here’s hoping it will be none of them. The network has given Dirty Sexy Money creator Craig Wright (an award-winning playwright whose impressive TV credits include Six Feet Under and Lost) the go-ahead on an unnamed series about five post-grad friends living in Chicago. According to Deadline, stars Jared Kusnitz, Michelle Ang, Sarah Habel, Inbar Lavi, and Diego Boneta will play “talented best pals who were confident that they were about to dazzle the universe with their brilliance on the eve of their college graduation but a year later find themselves going through a series of odd jobs, low-paying gigs, and comical situations — all in an effort to make ends meet.” Please, MTV.
