So, you love the Brontës and can’t resist a good 19th-century costume drama. But do you have the manners to survive in the Victorian era? Now you can find out, in a delightful video game from the McCord Museum in Montreal, which sends you on four different period-appropriate adventures and tests whether you dress and behave appropriately for your sex. The retro graphics are wonderful, the game is addictive — and just watch what happens when you answer incorrectly. (Spoiler: it may involve a kangaroo that shoots laser beams out of its eyes.) For the aspiring flappers out there, the McCord has an equally entertaining Roaring ’20s etiquette game. [via Novaya Zemlya]
