Inspired by a course he took in community planning as an architecture student at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, Alex MacClean is an aerial photographer whose work reveals the stunning patterns found in both natural and constructed landscapes when viewed from above, while simultaneously examining the impact of human intervention on the environment.
