Watch a Room-Sized Spirograph in Action

Remember making crappy “art” with a spirograph as a kid? Swedish-born designer Eske Rex — who was actually inspired by the harmonograph, a mid-19th century mechanical apparatus — has built what looks like a supersized version of the classic ’80s toy and/or a medieval torture device. “Drawingmachine” was recently on view at at MINDCRAFT11 at Salone Milan 2011, but assuming that you didn’t make the trip to Italy, we’ve posted a clip of his crazy contraption in action after the jump.
