Photo Gallery: Delicious and Nutritious Fruit and Veggie Tattoos

It’s summer, and you know what that means: fresh food is in abundance, and it’s never tasted better. Farmer’s markets are exploding with organic goodness and all we want to do is while away the hours next to a pitcher of iced tea and a quart of plump strawberries. Summer is the perfect combination of skin-bearing opportunities and fresh produce availability, so maybe it makes sense that we’ve been seeing a ton of fruit and vegetable-related tattoos this year. As a tribute to the warmer months and all the market salads we have been consuming, click through to see our gallery of fruit and veggie tattoos. Maybe it will inspire your next bout of body art, or maybe it will inform your dinner, but either way, we think it’s sweet and delicious. Be warned: the final image, an artichoke tattoo, is NSFW but was just too good not to include.

Can I use the ones showing a carrot in my website - The World Carrot Museum? Thanks, John

#16: A Fish called Anna Conda

Missed the last line of the article-sorry!

Number 16 is definitely a mermaid. It was posted on F*ck Yeah, Tattoos! Other than that, a few beautiful tattoos!

Number nine has beautiful colors. My mom and I have matching "cookbook" tattoos, with our initials and our favorite fruit/veggie on each page.

Number 3 is my photograph, originally seen here: http://klophoto.com/index.php?id=348

The last one looks like mermaid scales. Hence the waves at the top.

the last one is an artichoke... it's weird but I think that's what it's supposed to be.

I love these! the detail and color in #9 is really striking and I like #8 as well. Thanks for not going with everyone's cherry tatts (love those but...y'know). I also love the garlic chest piece. Fab.

These are mostly bad. Number 11 looks like that person has a skin disease on their foot (It's actually just spots of ink), and I'm pretty sure the last one is actually just scales, like she's turning into a mermaid, and doesn't have anything to do with fruit or vegetables.
