Gail Anderson, a former senior art director of Rolling Stone and a collector of many interesting things, has a beautiful collection of vintage bottle caps, pointed out to us by kottke. This is great design done in miniature, a mixture of advertising and flag-flying, and it makes us wonder why we don’t have cooler bottle caps today. After all, they’re often left behind on tables, park benches and sidewalks, and a great bottle cap serves as a colorful calling-card for passerby, who might look down and think, “Snow White Cream Soda!
