For the past few years Finnish artist Mari Kasurinen has been turning My Little Pony dolls into some of pop culture’s most recognizable icons — from Ziggy Stardust to Frida Kahlo. “I was looking for a way to express myself concerning today’s materialism and individualism,” she explains. “I was very interested in the whole customization phenomenon; how you can get anything done just for you.” Click through to check out some of our favorite ponies in her incredible collection, and let us know in the comments which characters you’d like to see her tackle next!
