Give UK-based artist Jennifer Collier some cardboard, thread, and a pile of road maps, and she can turn it into anything from a typewriter to a tiny pair of baby booties. “The papers themselves serve as both the inspiration and the media for my work, with the narrative of the books and papers suggesting the forms,” she explains. “I tend to find items then investigate a way in which they can be reused and transformed; giving new life to things that would otherwise go unloved or be thrown away.” Check out some of our favorites from her collection of incredibly-detailed paper objects in the slide show after the jump.
