Most of the images in Dylan DeRose’s Cat Fanciers Association series could easily inspire an entire Christopher Guest film — or at the very least a memorable character or two. “I’m really interested in letting my perception create visual narratives for how a culture functions,” the Savannah-based photographer recently explained to iGNANT. “For this series, I took that interest and applied to exploring the relationships between cats and their owners within the world of competitive cat shows.” Click through for a slide show filled with pet worshipping grandmas, colorful prize ribbons, and of our course, the felines that inspire all of this fuss.
