As one of cinema’s foremost masters of the bizarre, it’s no surprise that David Lynch’s unique plot lines, gorgeous cinematography, and enigmatic characters have caught the eye of artists. From Eraserhead to Blue Velvet to Twin Peaks and beyond, the renowned auteur (who, it’s no coincidence, is also a visual artist) continues to provide fodder for illustrators and graphic designers, many of whom have created re-imagined film posters, resurrected infamous scenes, or paid homage to favorite characters from Lynch’s work. To celebrate this creative cross-pollination, we’ve compiled a collection of prints and posters inspired by the eccentric director’s endeavors, after the cut.
