Earlier today, we learned that Portlandia will premiere its second season on IFC January 9th. Now, there’s a new trailer that gives us some insight into what we’ll be seeing when it returns. In a clip where Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein spend lots of time talking about how much they love making the show, we see a few familiar characters from Season 1 and get a slightly more in-depth look at a skit called “Adult Baby-sitter,” which features a grandmotherly woman charged with disciplining Armisen. For those of us who count the show among our favorites, this minute-long preview feels painfully short — but it’s certainly a nice way to start the countdown till Season 2.
