With vintage- and analogue-looking photography all the rage these days, we’re somewhat gratified to see that someone is putting some thought into where all the cool-looking effects you can simulate with Instagram and Hipstamatic actually come from. In particular, the people at online photo sharing service 1000 Memories have put together a pretty comprehensive infographic explaining what combinations of real film and real camera will give you the real effect that each of the various Instagram filters are approximating.
