The human eye: it’s kind of amazing that we can go about our daily routine with such jiggly, squishy orbs in our skulls that allow us to absorb so much incredible information. (And most of us even manage not to poke them with sharp objects.) Up close, our eyeballs almost look like some kind of alien life form. The iris moves fluidly while the rest of our peepers function in an uber mechanical way. You’ll see what we mean in the video after the break where one person filmed a slo-mo video of their eyeball creeping about. The music from Microscopic sets the perfect tone, almost making the iris seem like it’s really a planet far, far away.
