Motion Designer Joe Donaldson combined hand-drawn animation and computer-rotoscoping to create a video vignette inspired by scenes from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Donaldson paid homage to the iconic director’s sci-fi epic by fusing gestural, organic linework with harder geometric shapes for his narrative piece. The artists own work has been deeply inspired by the film, and the clip is a short, but sweet, way to say thanks. Head past the break to watch Donaldson’s animated take on Kubrick.
