Analog synths — and other wire- and knob-heavy vintage audio gear — are already serious fetish objects. In fact, we would probably settle for just staring at photos of them and longing for the good, old days before laptops. But thankfully, we don’t have to, because illustrator and paper artist Dan McPharlin has used them as inspiration for a much more impressive project. The audio equipment you see below is miniature and constructed out of paper, with each notch on each dial painstakingly recreated by hand. See some of our favorite pieces from the series after the jump, and visit McPharlin’s Flickr page to explore more of his work.
