The new cover of Opium magazine’s “Infinity” issue features a nine word story that will take approximately 1,000 years to read. Why? Each word is covered with a specific amount of ink that will slowly deteriorate with exposure to ultraviolet light.
One century per word. It’s like the opposite of a blog.
Jonathan Keats, the conceptual artist behind the story, says that he’s “interested in exploring deep time… Like most people, I live my life in a rush, consuming media on the run.” We’re wondering what you think.

my guess? In 100 years, no one will remember who the hell the artist even is…
I'd go with 10 years.
Ahh, naysayers. So adorable. Keats has made a significant name for himself, and for good reason. Now let's see what you two do to make yourselves memorable.
Haters gonna hate. This is a beautiful concept.
I find it intriguing and a tad self-indulgent.
I find intriguing and self-indulgent to be an apt description.
See.. this would be awesome if I had the whole 9 word story by my 85th bday!
As it will take 1000 years…. it´s hard to think of the worth in acquiring it for the future generations as I cant control what will become of it once i´m gone.
So, good idea, interesting… but maybe shorter time would be better at least to start with.
