What has Topher Grace been doing in the years since he left That ’70s Show? Oh, you know, he’s appeared in a few movies. But basically, he’s been editing the three Star Wars prequels into a single 85-minute feature. Truly, Erice Forman is just like us. As Slashfilm’s Peter Sciretta reminds us, Grace is an out-and-proud geek who loves the series and approached the project as an attempt to learn more about video editing. And guess what? In the estimation of Sciretta, who attended a private screening of Star Wars Episode III.5: The Editor Strikes Back last night, “Topher Grace’s Star Wars film is probably the best possible edit of the Star Wars prequels given the footage released and available.” Read a full and lengthy account of Grace’s improvements on the original at Slashfilm. And, um, if you hear about any bootlegs flying around, send your editors a tip, eh?
