Has the world been able to forget Mike Myers’ 2003 film insult — a terrible retelling of Dr. Seuss’ famous tale, The Cat in the Hat? The subject comes to mind when reading news from Deadline. The website shared that after the recent successful box office run of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, studios would be pushing ahead with a remake of the great Doc’s much-loved story. Like The Lorax screen version, the movie would be a 3D CG-animated feature, and a script is already in the works. It times itself well with an upcoming live-action film that shares the story of the author’s life, with Johnny Depp attached to play the writer. The movie is expected to feature some animation — between shots of Depp grinning wildly while thinking about his next big paycheck. Are you excited to see the kitty make mischief on the big screen again?
