What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds In Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we were amused that an astrophysicist schooled perfectionist director James Cameron about inaccuracies in his portrayal of the night sky in the original Titanic film. We saw cats in a tense standoff with watermelon. We were interested to see how MTV Art Breaks pans out. We realized the extent of Jon’s existential angst in this Garfield Minus Garfield Tumblr. We noted that @FatBettyFrancis has arrived on Twitter (beware of spoilery stuff). We watched a few early Stanley Kubrick films. We read about author Whitley Strieber’s strange alien encounters. We desperately wanted to buy this Minimoog sofa. We thought these real-life blue trees looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss story. We checked out the Portland album weather forecast. We nervously watched a man free climb the 577 foot tall, Stalin-era Kotelnicheskaya Embankment Building in Moscow. And finally, we listened to Corey Feldman’s prog rock album. It includes a very breathy and bizarre cover of “Imagine” with extra saxophone for your pleasure.
