Have you ever watched one of Funny or Die’s hilarious, wildly popular Drunk History videos and thought, “Gee, I wish this were a half-hour TV series?” OK, neither have we, but we’re not going to complain now that it’s happening. Deadline reports that Comedy Central has ordered a pilot called Drunk History Across America, which will expand the web series’ intoxicated history lessons into a humorous travel show featuring interviews and stories from localsĀ — who will also, of course, be wasted. We’re not entirely sure that this will be an improvement on the generally perfect Funny or Die videos, but with Will Ferrell attached as a producer and the possibility of truly stellar guest appearances (everyone from Ryan Gosling to Zooey Deschanel has shown up on the web series), we’ll certainly give it a try.
