Before PEEPS and the Reese’s Easter Peanut Butter Egg, there were hardboiled eggs, decoratively painted as per tradition. Well, it’s 2012 AD and no longer do we paint them in plain red like the blood of Jesus, but in many colors, and sometimes even in a few high art variations. We found these creative Easter Eggs in different corners of the web — all inspired by famous artists and artworks, with results of various quality. There’s a glorious batch of Roy Lichtensteins. There’s a cute minimalist attempt at a Salvador Dalí. There’s a Mona Lisa, we think. Come see our eggs and have a Happy Easter!
