Today at Flavorpill, we bought our tickets to go see the new Johnny Depp movie, Public Enemies. We got extremely nervous about the proposed ban on Vicodin and Percocet. We thought mayors all over America should install these cool benches so that dog pee doesn’t keep killing all the urban trees. We were sad that we already bought our tickets for the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, because now it’s being offered in IMAX (but only if you live in New York, LA, or Chicago). We got excited that Entourage, Dirty Sexy Money, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta will all return to TV with new episodes this month, and had our minds blown at the idea of twin Bachelors. We said goodbye to Molly Sugden, whose work on Are You Being Served? made her a gay icon. We were jelaous of Isabel Kaplan, a 19-year-old James Ellroy wannabe. And finally, we were mad at IMDb for demoting writers to “Additional Details” section of the page — but not quite as mad as Nikki Finke was.

aw, i didn't know mollie sugden died! i fucking loved that show growing up. anglophilia starts young, i guess.
Mollie and John Inman are gone … but the memories will live on here in the U.S. because of the constant showings of Are You Being Served. The entire series is available on DVD. How many shows last as long as this one did? Mollie was perhaps the funniest person on the show. She will be greatly missed …
