But now Beyoncé has penned a thank-you letter to Mrs. O that endears her to us even further. In a handwritten note posted on Bey’s website, she calls the First Lady “the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman,” praising the grace with which she balances her professional life with family and proclaiming, “I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.” Fans may remember that the singer teamed up with Obama for the anti-child obesity Let’s Move! campaign, for which she released the song and video “Move Your Body.” See the letter after the jump, and find yourself powerless against the all-consuming urge to dream up some Beyoncé/Michelle superfriends fan fiction.
