What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds In Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we confirmed that cats are more popular than Jesus. We feared the bacon sundae. We browsed a celebrity Barbie gallery in honor of her birthday. (She’s 52!) We listened to John Cleese talk about making our lives more creative. We found out why the price of our e-book matters. We thought these his and hers houses were pretty cute. We were surprised that 25 National Magazine Award nominations went to 25 male writers. We went crazy for this igloo made of books. We adored looking at these palettes belonging to famous painters. We lit a few celebrity saint candles. We heard what child celebrities opposing Kirk Cameron had to say on Funny or Die. And finally, we talked about Queercore. Writer Dennis Cooper shares that “it brought lesbians and gays together on a more even footing than they had been and was even inviting to straight people, saying that you don’t need to fuck people of your own gender to be queer.”
