After only a few episodes, HBO wants more Girls on its side. The network has renewed the new Sunday series, along with Julia-Louis Dreyfus’ Veep. There’s a 10-episode order in place for the Lena Dunham buzz-worthy show everyone can’t seem to decide if they love or hate. As HitFix points out, apart from critical ratings, HBO’s standards for airing also consider benefits to the network brand. Girls has strong niche appeal, and the launch was a huge, much talked about success. Will you be sticking with twenty-somethings aimlessly trying to figure out their lives in the big city for another season, or are you still sorting your own feelings out? Let us know if the renewal surprises you in the comments below.
