Today at Flavorpill, we stayed far away from the 10 hottest places in the States. We met a human bowling ball. We had a zen moment watching Andy Warhol eat a hamburger. We listened to Ira Glass’ tips about the secrets of creative success. We were mesmerized by this human kaleidoscope. We loved this Girls parody, with squirrels. We found out the ingredients in McDonald’s Big Mac’s Special Sauce. We browsed an illustrated guide to fashion’s biggest icons. We were reminded of a few important things from Sylvia Plath. We looked at some environmental themed posters created by Shepard Fairey’s studio. We saw the only known photo of Billy the Kid, restored by a professional facial analyst. And finally, we watched a beautiful public performance honoring composer Philip Glass on his 75th birthday. Over 200 singers — many randomly plucked off the streets — participated.
