Surreal Photos of Human Mosaics

Share:

Claudia Rogge’s photographic tapestries of flesh, fabric, and frenzy — which we first spotted on TrendsNow — are surreal human mosaics. The stillness and ordered formations of her M. C. Escher-esque manipulations are quietly eerie. Although nature exhibits a type of symmetry, Rogge’s works feels otherworldly. She toys with uniformity in a tension-filled way that speaks to psychological themes of identity. Rogge’s other photos center on similar notions, but create patterns and repetition with multiple individuals focusing on kaleidoscopic, writhing masses. See more photos past the break, and check out an upcoming book about the artist over here.
