This month marks would have been Julia Child’s 100th birthday, and to celebrate, Boston public TV station WGBH has created a tribute video that pairs clips from her groundbreaking ’60s cooking show, The French Chef, with a “Sweet Child of Mine” soundtrack. For those of you who are less familiar with the six-foot-two culinary legend — or whose working knowledge is limited to Meryl Streep’s portrayal in Julie & Julia — it serves as a nice introduction to what a zany character Child really was; to learn more about her fascinating life and the early years of her career, we highly recommend picking up a copy of her memoir, My Life in France.
